Taylor Mountain
45 minutes round trip on the ebike. It is possible to bike almost all the way to the summit. Parked at the large gravel turnout 1/4 mile west of the gate on the south side of the highway.

Road Walk
No snow on the summit. Hiked from Tiger Summit on Hwy 18. 40 years ago, Ted Bundy dumped two of his victims near the gate at the start of this hike.

Devil's Club Madness
Avalanche Danger was a 4 and 5 in the higher mountains so we decided to play it safe and choose Taylor Mountain. We added though a little more spice by bushwhacking through some very nasty devil's club and other brush.

Taylor
We came in via the Tiger Mountain Trail system from the South more or less. Following trail and then roads until near the corner of the watershed boundary. Then we took the path of least resistence up to the slashpiles that constitute the summit. We were surprised to find that someone had basically driven a car up there from the NE I guess. Standard offseason P1000 fare.

A Good Snowshoe Outing!
We took a couple of off-road bushwhack shortcuts that are *not* recommended due to thick brush, trees, and many thorny plants (including bramble and Devil's Clubs) encountered. It would have been much easier for us if we had just stayed on roads the entire time, but we were on a partial time-crunch for activities. With low elevation snowpack and high avalanche danger on nearby peaks, this turned out to be a great choice for our day.
