That's Painter Basin?Can you imagine how many skeeters will be
hatching out down there? How long is the
Kings-Emmons Ridge, mileage wise? It must be

Re: That's Painter Basin?No, that is not Painter Basin. It would be to the right of this picture on the other side of Val ridge. The basin in this picture is upper Atwood. Atwood Lake would be just to the left. Oddly enough, I encountered many more skeeters from Elkhorn Crossing back to Henrys Fork TH where it is seemingly dry in comparison to the boggy basins. As the crow flies it is about 5.7 miles from Kings to Emmons. The distance along the ridge is 6.85 miles. I have another recent picture posted which you may not have seen showing Atwood Lake.
