Old Peat
One of the earth's oldest mountains was wearing a beautiful coat of autumnal foliage today. It could not hide the up down, up down of the trail however. If it was always October in this part of the world I would live here.

Peat Mountain Trail
A tough slog through 2 feet of wet spring mush from Rabbit Blanket Lake. Lost the trail a couple times and went about climbing to some open ledges. Slow going so I couldn't complete the loop. Stunning views from the top. Surprised at how this little mountain beat up on me! Great hike, great day in the woods!
