Gorgeous Day!!
Was going to start on the North Side, but it appeared to be a little longer of an approach and I had a lot on my itenery. So I decided to take this route up. Very steep at the beginning, then tapers off. With a final steep approach to the summit. Views were outstanding. Truely the best views I have ever seen from a summit.

Gorgeous Day
The weather was fantastic. Still, and clear enough to see the tree line on Pikes Peak. The aspens were also golden. Its one of the prettiest summit I have ever seen. The climb itself was actually quite easy as the trail has less scree than other 14ers that I have climbed, and it also not very steep. But if you dont have a vehicle which can drive to the trail head, it can be a long day.

Better Than Others
This route is a lot more enjoyable than the Northeast Ridge which is more demanding.
