Backpacked up to High Creek Lake on Monday and spent the night there. In the morning, summitted Naomi then over to Gog and Bullen Hole. Dropped down the chute just south of Bullen Hole Peak to High Creek Lake then cleared camp and backpacked out.
Crossed paths with three people at the saddle between Gog and Bullen Hole who were coming from the basin to the north, was kinda random. Other than that didn't see anyone else outside of the main trails. Saw TONS of butterflies at the summit, they just kept flying up in a neverending stream

from Tony Grove
tried for Gog two days before from Magog - not advised. The cliffs ring the White Pine Lake basin quite completely. Used the White Pine Lake trail for approach.
Combined with Magog, Naomi, and Bullen Hole. This was the last peak of the day and was a really treat. The "table" on the summit is really quite cool.

Gog
I spent the night at White Pine Lake and then climbed Gog (Southwest ridge). I then went back down to the saddle (between Gog and Bullen Hole) and up Bullen Hole. After that I followed the long ridge/divide over to Pika Peak. I then went back to White Pine Lake and hiked out.
Gog and Magog area is a gem of Northern Utah. Descended to the lake. Lake to trailhead done in the dark due to not bringing a headlamp.

From the northwest basin
Hiked up from the basin on the northwest foot of the mountain to the west ridge, which I followed to the top. Neat summit with a odd rock cube on top. Found Eric's register he put on top just a few days eariler. Odd there wasn't an older one already there. This was the end of a Naomi to Bullen Hole to Pika to Gog hike. Got back to the trailhead in the dark.

Southwest Ridge
I climbed Mount Gog the day before the first snow of the year. The fall colors were pretty as always. The southwest ridge is a nice route that has great views of White Pine Lake and the high peaks of the Bear River Range. It was very windy on the summit because a storm was moving in. There was no one else climbing mountains in the whole area.
