Overview
One of the big 4 bushwack peaks lone is a long walk to get to any way you aproach.
Following a typical aproach from dennimg, its about 4 miles the the base of the climb and 1.5 to the top.
It is a trail/ herdpath/ bushwack to get to the top, with a plesant hike along the neversink on the east branch of the neversink. After leaving the neversink just after Donavon Brooke you bushwack up a ridge to lone's summit. as far as bushwacks go its a relitivly easy one, as it is anything but thick, and their is no real scrambling to get up.
Just past the summit their are some cliffs that give exelent veiws from table over to balsam cap.
As far as bushwack summits go in my eyes this one is one of the most plesant ones their is.
