"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Planned differentlyWanted to climb the south-western part of the Canadas de Teide Rim from Boca de Tauce. Didn't find the trail and thus redid the Lomo de las Mesas / Sombrero de Chasna routine almost exactly 8 years after the first time.

Climbed by accidentOur goal for the day had been Sombrero de Chasna but since we reached it s easily we ventured out on the caldera rim,, eventually climbing Lomo de las Mesas on its whole length. Instead of descending to Degollada de Ucanca, however, we returned and climbed the summit for a second time.
