Summit in the clouds
Climbed on a nonstop rainy day with a group of Rocky Mountaineers during our Glacier Classic trip. Up via Otokomi lake route. Too bad we couldn't see any views from the summit.

Windy
Climbed Goat in gloomy overcast conditions. The route is pretty straightforward except for finding your way through the trees that choke the lower part of the drainage on the west slope. Summit was extremely windy and the clouds were just overhead. Only lingered on top for about 15 minutes. Good hike.
Nearly froze in a snowstorm, but all the previous winter's snow made for a good glissade down.

Bailed...
on "Deadhorse Point" because the weather may or may not have been getting sketchy. Glad to make it to the top of this one before heading down. Views from the top were awesome, but it was cold! Post-climb Two Sisters was delicious as was post-Two Sisters beer.
June 2001
Slogged up the west slope to get the view down onto Goat Lake. The scree was much more fun on the way down

Interesting mountain. Followed the climber's trail off the Siyeh Pass Trail and climbed through shrubs and broken cliffs along the right side of a very large drainage. Came across a large slab of rippled sea bed somewhere above 7,500 feet. Great views from the top included my first ever glance at Gunsight Lake. Unbelievable scree running down the drainage on the descent.

Baring Creek Trail
It was a low snow year and the west slopes were completely melted out by late May. The west slopes are the best scree skiing you will ever find. Even better than the Super Gully on Lost River Peak.
