Incredible!That is one big ass face on that mountain! The couloir to the right looks gnarly as well!

Re: Incredible!Thanks man. Yeah that right side couloir has been on my hit list for over ten years, just haven't aligned conditions (would prefer all snow to ridge line) and partners. Doesn't help that the highway access is closed for about half the year.

The Great Northern CouloirI had never heard of an ascent of this route, and was hoping to set a first ascent. Scott Berry and I were successful on our climb of the couloir and North Ridge (just west below the ridge line) to the summit of Elpoca Mountain on June 26, 2017. Turns out we missed the first ascent by one year, oh well, we had an absolutely spectacular alpine day on our trip.
