Trench!
Climbed Culebra with a crew of about 17 peeps from 14ers.com. The Cielo Vista Ranch is transitioning management. Said we weren't allowed to climb Red Mountain as their "expert says it is unsafe". We were the first crew up this winter and had some epic trenching to gain Culebra's slopes.

Most boring 14er
Until now, I'd have difficulties to decide which of my climbed 14ers was the worst. Now I am sure, it was Culebra. Borigh grass slope, the entire range looks like hills, the only excuse to pay 100 $ to a millionaire that owns it is when you are on the list and "need" to hike all 14ers. Otherwise, save your money and go ENYWHERE ELSE.
definitely a change of pace. Pleasant enough but not something I would pay to do again

Like a bad half joke
It would have been easier to poke fun at our own idiocy of paying $100 ea to climb an easy 14er, if not for the mandated 7 am late start that put us in the path of a lightneing storm along the ridge retreat. Scariest 14er experience to date.

Hundred dollars mountain! Long drive from Denver, overall nice hike, Carols at ranch was very nice. Drove to Four Way and hike from there, bit a windy day but sunny and blue sky!

My Last One!
Forked over the $100 to climb my final 14er! It was worth it! Hung out on the summit for a looong time under clear skies and celebrated with a nice group of people from around the country. Tagged Red Mtn too.

Fun hike with blue sky on the way up, but experienced poor visibility and hail/rain on the way down. I traversed over from Red Mt. to skip the climb back up Culebra, but not sure if that saved me any time.

Standard Ranch Route with Red
The weather was simply horrendous, with the clouds rolling in at 10:00 AM. Made it to Culebra & Red, though. Enjoyed the critters everywhere, but did not find the "untracked wilderness" promised by Fourteeners Initiative. Still an interesting experience.

With Tim and Jim, what a strange start to climbing a 14er, but absolutely worthe the process and price. Paid the extra for Red Mtn as well!

Interesting
This is a really strange ritual to go through to climb a 14er. Glad to have the opportunity though. With Jim and Eric, very pristine area.

Good thing each 14er doesn't cost $100...
otherwise I wouldn't be doing these...
Did this one with my pops. Long drive from Parker to San Luis, though uneventful. Stayed at the San Luis Inn the night before. Difficult to crawl out of bed in time to get to the gate by 6.00.
Carlos met us @ gate @ 5.51, & herded us all to the ranch 'headquarters,' where we all drained our bank accounts- this was easily the most difficult part of the climb.
Following this demoralizing experience, drove to 'Four-way.' Leaving here @ 6.58, I descended some 520' (to 10,700', according to my altimeter; was 7.24 when I turned around) to ensure I'd have the necessary 3k' elevation gain. Dad waited slightly above while I did this. Was back at Four-way at 6.58.
From here we hiked to the standard 4WD parking lot. We hiked around the curve skirting the adjacent hill here, before turning to go up the slopes leading to the ridgeline. Popped up onto ridge slightly prior to the enormous cairne. Ridge straightforward from here to summit, entailing primarily enjoyable class 2 scrambling. Ascent displayed ample evidence of perhaps the largest rodent infestation of any peak I've ever been on.
Encountered others descending, who with the exception of 1 guy all parked at the highest parking lot, had started much earlier than we did.
Summited at 11.37. Popped & enjoyed some Avery 14er ESBs, took in the great SoCo views, & tried to savor this most expensive of summits. Views of the Sierra Blanca in particular were great.
Left summit at 12.23. Descent somewhat time-consuming but fairly mellow overall. Had the mountain to ourselves at this point. Back at Fourway at 15.52.
