"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

from Rhus Ridge TrailheadLucky to find a parking space at the tiny Rhus Ridge Trailhead. Pleasant meandering hike to the (crowded) summit on a somewhat hot day. Nice views.

Nice LoopI'm glad I was successful, because this park is way too crowded for me. I was lucky to find a parking spot at sunrise- 6:45am. No bathrooms at trailhead. No privacy along the trail. Creativity is obligatory.
Up via PG & E trail; down via Upper and Lower Meadows Trails. Outstanding views of the southern Bay Area.

Nice runHave done this many times, most recently with my older son. The peak is just the highest bump on a ridge, but the hike from Rhus ridge makes for a long, beautiful workout run. Rhus ridge parking is very small; we had to park at Foothill college about a mile away.

Morning HikeCame from the Monte Bello trailhead. It was pretty crowded for the middle of winter. It's a good way to start a morning, especially in the winter when everything is moist. Good views of the Diablo range and the south bay. Did some other hills in the area before I got rained on.
