Verpeilspitze normal way
Next time it should be a more challenging route :)

Nice climb
climbed the Verpeilspitze from the Kaunergrathut via the normal route, on the second day of a alpine rockclimbing course.

Good sport
Did it from the valley, a long day, 11 hours from Plangeross and back, though lost about an hour when nearly at the summit when a thunderstorm approached, so we scuttled back down the south ridge to the little scree filled cirque where we waited for it to pass over. Then went back up to the summit which was superb. Good conditions, no need for any crampons or axes.
We did the route more to the left, III with parts of IV.
Enjoyed it very much as it was the final of our climbing course.

Hard work, too
It was quite a scramble through fresh snow up the chutes and along the ledges - we where the first after heavy summer snowfalls. Thus it was a not so easy and a wonderful climb.

Hard work...
Started at Kaunergrat hut. Reached the top with a damaged leg. So it was a hard work as the ascent is not so easy. But great view to all sides and a nice combination of rock and ice.
