The Shoulder
As part of an epic day with Ben Stokes. Starting at the Aspen Grove TH we first summitted Elk Point. From there we followed the Razorback Ridge to the "Shoulder" and on up to the South Summit. From the South Summit of Timp we continued heading along the ridge to Timp's SE summit before ultimately traversing around the cockscomb ridge that frames the massive Big Provo Cirque. We worked our way down through some fairly major cliff bands to the top of Sundance Ski Resort and followed service roads down to the base of Sundance.

Why does this have to exist?
After doing the Timpanogos Traverse and assuming I finished all the 11'ers on Timpanogos, of course I find this peak and of course I have to climb it because it's an 11'er. Views were good but it was a pain getting to it because I had to climb South Timpanogos and then go down to The Shoulder and then back up and out. I would've just done the Razorback Ridge/Terrace but there was snow and I was lacking an ice ax.

After Razorback Ridge
This little summit was quite a nice break from the awe-inspiring but heart-stopping Razorback Terrace contour. Then climbed up to Second Summit.

ShoulderMore a viewpoint than a peak, but done with the Razorback Ridge.
