Presi TraverseThree buddies and I got up early one summer morning nailed both the North and south Traverse in 14 hours. It took us a while because we kept taking pictures. Great hike!!

Route Climbed: I can't remember Date Climbed: Aug 2004North and South Pres, from Pinkham Notch to Crawford Notch. Started up Old Jackson Road and from to Mt Madison.... from that point on I can't remember what way I took

Route Climbed: Valley Way, Gulfside, Crawford Path, summit loops Date Climbed: 10 sept 200513 hours trailhead to trailhead, 8 hours Madison summit to Pierce summit under the clearest skies I've seen since December. See the Trip report.
A year or so later I did a south-to-north traverse starting at Webster, started late and didn't go as fast, bailed down Valley Way without doing Madison.

Route Climbed: Crawford Path, Gulfside Tr., Valley Way Date Climbed: December 27-28Did a very nice early winter Presidential traverse, from Crawford Notch on rte 302 to Appalachia Parking Lot on Rte 2. Hiked up to Mitzpah Springs hut late Friday night, hauled ass all the way to Madison Hut Saturday, then down Valley Way trail to Appalachia on Sunday. Got to car before 11, only to find it broken into...but that's another story...
