Scrambling up
from Cabana Veronica and working up to the summit through late snowfields - strong gusts of wind on the top, threatening dark clouds to the southwest and incredible views on the Central and Western Massiv - a great day!

Route climbed: From Fuente De, normal route
From Fuente De, "Canal de la Jenduda" and normal route. Great day and a great mountain. We didn't need to use crampons, but we step a lot of snow.

Guiding trip
Me and two clients reached the top of the mountain from Horcados Rojos, within one hour and with relative good weather conditions.
It was a fantastic winter climb with my wife. We stayed at the Parador Nacional, we took the first morning cabin and walked up with snowshoes all the aproach. then we climbed the ridge on your left as you see the mountain. God, I felt like in Andes climbing the final snow corniced ridge!. Te descent was dangerous. It was a long day, in fact we almost missed the last cabin down!, but we didn´t...the prize came after with a great warm bath and a better dinner!

Nice peak
in bad weather conditions. The first snow of the season fall this week in the Spanish mountains. Thanks to the sun of the previous day many of the snow disappear. The day was a lot of fog, wind... very bad, but we was lucky to reach the summit in the moment what the fog disappear all around... impressive landscape of the wonderful Picos de Europa

Normal from Refugio de Aliva and Horcadina de Covarrobres, mid 80's summerI thought that we'd climbed it in the rain and fog but in a recent climb I've noticed that my dad and me had climbed the SW highest subsidiary summit.
