Hiked this together with North Pack. Not much of a mountain, had lots of time to photograph the wildflowers.

First day of Spring, still very wintery
Snowshoed up the toll road to the top. Route was crunchy snow and icy in spots, but no trouble. Road was under about 2 feet of snow, at the top, the picnic tables were up to their tops in snow. Temps about 35 degrees. Nice day overall.

Many many times
I've done this at least forty times since 1993 in all seasons, day and night. Last night I was at a friend's bonfire until 230 AM and stopped by on my way home for a quick jaunt. The weather observatory at the base of the fire tower gives detailed weather and air quality data for those who are curious. It was 33 degrees at the top with a wind chill of 21 but I felt fine in shorts and a fleece pullover.

Nice short hike....
First hike of the season for me, and a very nice one despite the parking lot on top. Took the Marion Davis Trail up and Wapack Trail down. No bugs, or mud to speak of on this perfect day. Climbed the fire tower for some fine views.
Hiked up the west side, and then down the auto road after hiking around Mount Watatic earlier in the day. A little rainy, but nice views over to Grand Monadnock.

First Time
My first time up this summit. Nice way to spend an afternoon as the climb isn't very difficult. Was a good conditioning workout.

Auto Road
My Dad drove my brother and myself up to the summit in his old Dodge DeSoto. I was about 5 or 6 years old. The road was covered in snow. We made it to the summit, but the drive down was hairy. My dad was scared shitless! Would love to do it again.

Pack Monadnock Race
Ran up this lone mountain in the Pack Monadnack 10k. Running in the woods during hunting season will get you to the top pretty quick!

Good Views
Hiked this with a good friend. The road at the top was a disappointment, but we hiked early enough in the day that it wasn't open by the time we got there. We continued on to North Pack and then came back.
great hike but the road at the top is kind of dissapointing and a view of boston

Pack Monadnock NHShort but steep hike, up wapack and down marion davis. Hot and swarming black flies at top with poor views, not my favorite.

Wapack Trail RunTopped out as part of a trail run. Summit area was not as busy as I had expected, given that it was a Saturday with perfect weather. Nice place.
